PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Natural raisins are prepared from sound, mature, fresh grapes which have been sun-dried, equalized for moisture uniformity, graded by size, cap stems and stems mechanically removed, washed with pure water, rehydrated to a desired moisture, hand-sorted to remove general defects, passed through a metal detector, and oil-coated to reduce stickiness between raisins.

The product is inspected throughout the process to assure a clean, wholesome product, which is in complete compliance with provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Our raisins are manufactured following a statistical process control philosophy and under the inspection of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).

This product is Kosher and HALAL certified

Berry Count (USDA Definition): (These descriptions are void if customer has exact specifications for berry count confirmed at time of contract)

• “Select” size:
  • Means that no more than 60% by weight of all the raisins will pass through round perforations 22/64” in diameter, but not more than 10% by weight of all the raisins may pass through round perforations 20/64” in diameter.
• “Mini” size:
  • Means that 95% by weight of all the raisins will pass through round perforations 24/64” in diameter, and not less than 70% by weight of all raisins will pass through round perforations 22/64” in diameter.
